Dawn Neesom is the longest serving, most successful female editor of a national newspaper in the UK.
She was Editor of the Daily Star for 15 years taking the paper to over a million sales a day, the highest since the title’s launch issue. Under her leadership the paper became the fastest growing paper in the UK.
With a career of almost 30 years in popular and tabloid journalism Dawn also spent five years on the Sun newspaper as a writer and reporter and has made several TV appearances.
Since stepping down as editor Dawn has launched a popular opinion column in the Daily Star, published every Wednesday. She is also considering several other writing and broadcasting roles as well as a book on life on the tabloid frontline.
Dawn is feisty, outspoken and doesn’t suffer fools or Snowflakes. A lifelong West Ham fan she is also a keen cyclist and runner.
